Purpose: To identify the demographic, ecclesiastical, and missiological aspects of Filipino-majority Christian congregations all over the world and formulate a secure system for communications with Philippine-based churches and Christian organizations.

Goal: To establish a functional global database of existing Filipino Christian congregations by 2007 that will be jointly administered by PCEC, PMA and FIN.

Definitions:
This survey is about “CAREER” missionaries and “TENTMAKER” missionaries who serve in the name of Christ.

 CAREER MISSIONARIES are long – term, cross-cultural missionaries who are committed to serve for at least 3 years and beyond. They serve full-time in a culture other than their own. Normally, they learn a different language and / or make significant cultural adjustment. They are serving either within the national borders (locally) or internationally.

 TENTMAKER MISSIONARIES are those who use their occupation as a platform for cross-cultural witness, normally in a foreign land. In many cases, these types of missionaries are not properly commissioned by their local church and may not have been intentional when they first went abroad.

EXTRA: If you happen to be a short-term missionary, we would count you also. We would request you also to fill up this form with your appropriate answers and send it to us.

 SHORT-TERM missionaries are those who serve for shorter periods of time - 2 years or less.
